📌 The current text format is considered as a document, generated and opened up by Microsoft Word for Windows Mobile system. This edition of text editor serves as a word processing software toolkit and is also entitled as “Pocket Word”. Following this particular clause, .PWI files are generated and opened on Pocket PC PDAs operated by Windows Mobile handheld platform. On its layout and markup, .PWI documents are similar to Word (.DOC) extension. However, this type of container is not compatible with such features as comments, footers and headers.
📌 Some of .PWI resources can be opened and reviewed through Microsoft Word suite, despite particular ink data can be displayed improperly, with mistakes. Moreover, older builds of Microsoft OneNote package (i.e, 2003 build and before) can flawlessly monitor and view handwritten text and notes in formerly downloaded or locally created .PWI data objects. Also, considering a condition of sync feature enabled, Microsoft Outlook is also capable of discovering the .PWI marks and notes. One more remark - the .PWI resources can be also recognized and known as Note Taker/InkWriter handheld file categories.
